I have recently discovered my inner art potential, with thanks to my Digital Art class. *pokes my modest dragonfly-bat drawing* I have discovered that drawing, with time, patience, a good model, and a good eraser, can be both fun and productive.

...It's much more productive art when done with computers, however. Said Digital Arts class also taught me the art of using Photoshop, and with the CS2 Photoshop installed on my computer (for some reason) I have begun to craft... sprites! Sprites of characters from one of the many writing ideas I have in my mind, and I while I don't have much to show thus far, the process of creating my first sprite like this is quite fun.

(yes, I have tried using Paint to make sprites. Truly agonizing, I must say)

I shall upload some of these sprites when they are finished, if I can ever stop trying the impossible goal of perfection. My first sprite, however, is not truly created by me, but is a modification of a video game sprite. The difference, I would like to think, is quite large enough to warrant being able to post it without violating copyrights. I've changed the color, doubled the size (and had to smooth it out from said size increase... *shudders), and even changed the pose slightly, so I think I'll be fine there.

I should also upload some written work as well... I have a lot of ideas, I just haven't taken the opportunity to write them down, and I should. I know a few people who I know would want to see it, and that's enough for me. I also have some rants of a somewhat philosophical nature, but I'd have to make sure I can actually submit that first.

Either way - no longer shall the page of EbonyManta lay barren and neglected - I shall soon grace it with art, at long last!
